    Lower Pinecrest beds, Upper Tamiami Formation, Sarasota County, Florida (0.90 and 0.97 mm.). SEMs produced in collaboration with Dr. Ann Heatherington, Dept. Geological Sciences, University of Florida, Gainesville, FL. This is a replacement name for Cyclostrema thomasi Pilsbry, 1945, a  junior secondary homonym of Vitrinella thomasi Bartsch, 1918.
