Amphidromus enganoensis Fulton, 1896

    Engano Island is a very small island off the SW coast of Sumatra. However, it may be large enough to have more than one distinct colony of this species. At least one satellite island also has a colony.  Amphidromus enganoensis may come with a perostracum. If so, it has been removed from these specimens. Laidlaw and Solem considered it within the group of A. palaceus. However, the shell characters do not lead one to that conclusion. Dextral and Sinistral. Yellow specimens often have a white subsutural zone and more closely resemble A. atricallosus.
