Atrina serrata (G. B. Sowerby I, 1825) - Sawtooth Penshell

Washed onto beach after northeaster, Little Talbot Island State Park, Duval County, Florida (about 260 mm.). When the above specimen was cleaned, a Palaemonid Shrimp Pontonia domestica [Atlantic Pen Shrimp] (about 25 mm. in length) was found living inside the shell - an example of commensalism.
