Pomacea paludosa (Say, 1829) Florida Applesnail Rare Gold Specimen
    During a visit to the lake on the south campus of  Florida State College Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida on 6/14/2015 this golden colored specimen (empty shell) was found on the lake shoreline. This is the second golden shell found at this location since the Pomacea population was discovered in 2006.
