Stramonita haemastoma floridana (Conrad, 1837) Florida Rocksnail

This 59 mm. specimen, totally encrusted with a bryozoan colony, was found living on a granite boulder of the south St. Johns River Jetty, Duval Co., Florida  on 10/28/2004.  This species is often the host of various fouling species (oysters, barnacles, etc.); but usually not bryozoans.
