Euglandina rosea (Férussac, 1821) Predator Damage

    From the roadside swale on the west side of US-1 about 3.2 miles northwest of International Golf Parkway, St. Johns County, Florida 2/9/2020. Bottom image shows shell as found. The predator was unsuccessful in extracting all the animal from the shell as decomposing meat was still present in the spire. The remaining shell measured 62 mm. in length.
