Oreaster reticulatus Cushion Sea Star With Four Arms

     This Cushion Sea Star was photographed in the Lake Worth Lagoon, Palm Beach Inlet, Palm Beach County, Florida by Ariane Dimitris on 2/27/2012. Although Ariane's specimen has only four arms, the species normally has five but also occasionally may have six. A six Amed specimen was in fact photographed in the same location on 3/7/2012.
