During a trip to the grocery store on 5/27/2019, a large number of live Praticolella mexicana were discovered immediately adjacent to the road along Baymeadows Road near the intersection of Interstate 295. The snails were massed on a variety of man made structures (poles, electrical junction boxes, etc.) and in the nearby grassy areas. In the grassy areas there were literally balls of snails - snails upon snails. Two days later the snails were still present, and using a medium sized paint brush and a bucket, a good portion of the snails were collected. After collection the snails were sorted and 740 snails were present - none of which was sinistral.

Concurrent with this massing behavior by the Praticolella mexicana, a similar massing behavior was exhibited by Praticolella griseola at a similar roadside location along US-1 about five miles distant (see: Praticolella griseola Vagrant Scrubsnail and Praticolella griseola Vagrant Scrubsnail.
