Live Daedalochila auriculata From Plummer Road Compared With St. Johns Co., Specimens

   The specimens illustrated were selected randomly from two comparable sized lots (seventeen specimens) from the respective locations. The St. Johns County specimens (from Bass Haven Site Three and representative of other populations in the county) were collected on 4/18/2010 while the Plummer Road, Duval County specimens were collected on 4/10/2010. Although the St. Johns County lot contained specimens as light in coloration as those from Duval County, a vast majority of the specimens were much darker in coloration.
