Mellita quinquiesperforata (Leske, 1778) Five-slotted Sand Dollar

    Normally sand dollars leave a track in the sand, such as illustrated below, which is rather obvious in regards as to what lies underneath the sand. However, at times their tell-tale track is less definitive and could easily be mistaken for a buried mollusk (specifically Neverita duplicata - Shark Eye Moon Snail).
