Daedalochila auriculata (Say, 1818) Ocala Liptooth At The State Road 16 Trout Creek Bridge

St. Johns County, Florida

    During a field survey on March 13, 2015, a Daedalochila auriculata population was discovered in the roadside swale along the southwest bridge approach (GPS: 29.59027N 081.33473W - WGS-84 Datum) to the State Road 16 bridge over Trout Creek. A modest number of empty shells was found as well as two living specimens. A return visit the next day yielded a like number of specimens - most of which were alive.
