Gulf Fritillary [Agraulis vanillae] Pupa

This Gulf Fritillary Pupa was photographed while attached to a wall at the Tree Hill Nature Center in the Arlington area of eastern Duval County, Florida on 11/5/2004. Twenty four hours earlier it was readily recognizable as a Gulf Fritillary Larva as it attached to the wall with silk threads before beginning to pupate.
