Pinecrest Hammock 87

Pinecrest Hammock 87 sits adjacent to Pinecrest Hammock 37, which was reportedly a pure miamiensis hammock. In contrast to Pinecrest Hammock 37, Pinecrest Hammock  87 consisted of around 95% miamiensis and 5% marmoratus, according to Archie Jones (pers. comm.). Some collectors might call these dark-washed shells testudineus since a percentage of the population exhibit dominant coggings.
