Pinecrest Hammock 24

These shells are a challenge to pigeonhole solidly into a form name, but most authorities would choose testudineus. They, along with selected shells from Pinecrest 22, Pinecrest 112, Robert's Lake, and hammocks 8 miles north of the 40-mile bend, are currently being worked for a new form name. The largest shell on the bottom row falls more squarely into form barbouri and was collected by Archie Jones in a planted hammock from Pinecrest 24 parentage.
