| The species was described from a Pliocene fossil of Zinola, Liguria, Italy and was thought to be extinct. However, the species was recently discovered on eastern Atlantic Seamounts and off Guadeloupe. The illustrated shell is 23.5 mm. and was taken at a depth of 735 meters, off Plato Bank, E. Atlantic [3313.6N 02932.5W]. | |
