Triodopsis hopetonensis (Shuttleworth, 1852) hatchlings

    The illustrated snails are about eight weeks old (7.7 - 9.6 mm.). It appears that an adult lip is beginning to form on the largest specimen.

   Deposited by snail found under pine straw on bluff overlooking the Crooked River, Crooked River State Park, Camden County, Georgia. The snails were taken into captivity on 2/6/2016 but didn't deposit any ova until 10/2016. Digital images by Lori Schroeder.
