Daedalochila auriculata On County Road 214 At Moultrie Creek, St. Johns Co., Florida

    During a molluscan survey on August 8, 2010 snail enthusiast Brian Marshall discovered a single empty Daedalochila auriculata shell in the roadside swale on County Road 214 on the northwest approach to Moultrie Creek (GPS: 29.51587N 081.22416W - WGS-84 Datum). This reporter visited the site the next day and checked the area carefully but was unable to find any additional specimens. This is the fourth location that Daedalochila auriculata have been found in proximity to the creek which flows generally south southeast from its headwaters north of County Road 214.
