Tonicella submarmorea (Middendorff, 1847)

    This is the protruding egg mass of the copepod parasite Chitonophilus laminosus in the pallial groove of a Tonicella submarmorea (about 35 mm.). From a depth of 6 meters off Carlisle Island, Aleutian Islands, 7/15/2006, during EPA Aleutian Islands EMAP survey.
