Daedalochila auriculata (Say, 1818) Ocala Liptooth Along US-1

 South Southeast Of International Golf Parkway, St. Johns County, Florida

    During a terrestrial mollusk survey on 11/21/2015, Daedalochila auriculata were discovered along the west side of US-1 about 1.8 miles south southeast of International Golf Parkway, St. Johns County, Florida (GPS: 29.593349N 081.222785W). At the site, US-1 spans a small west to east drainage ditch. A modest number of empty Daedalochila auriculata shells were found in vegetation both north northwest and south southeast of the ditch as well as two living adult specimens.
