Architectonica nobilis Röding, 1798 Common Sundial And Fireworm Preadator

The fireworm is the "Red-Tipped Fireworm" Chloeia viridis Schmarda, 1861 (class polychaeta). The sundial when found was totally covered by fireworms and not visible. The photographer reported that she, using an available tool, pushed them away to see what they were feeding on and only then the shell became visible. However, the fireworms immediately returned to their meal.
