Centipede [Scolopocryptops sexspinosus]

    This centipede, in the process of brooding her eggs, was found beneath a large log in southeastern Duval County, Florida on 2/10/2007 as the photographer searched for terrestrial mollusks. This species is commonly found beneath debris in Duval County - usually in pairs.
