Conus abbotti Clench, 1942

The specimen is a topotypical Conus theodorei Petuch, 2000 from East Samphire Cay, Great Bahama Bank, Bahamas. There is a lack of consensus among experts regarding synonymies in this species complex. Some authorities (e.g., Malacolog 4.1.0) consider these two taxa distinct and C. abbotti junior to Conus jucundus G. B. Sowerby III, 1887.
