Bradybaena similaris (Férussac, 1821) Feeding On Eggs Hatching

Several adult Bradybaena similaris were collected in Central Florida during March, 2015 and taken into captivity. While in captivity the snails deposited a number of egg clutches which subsequently hatched about 16 days after they were deposited. The images below show some of the freshly hatched juveniles feeding on the ova which were not viable. The images were obtained through use of a microscope on 4/20/2015 by Lori Schroeder.
