    Coastal Range conifer forest 1 mi. E. Heceta Lighthouse, Lane Co., Oregon, 10/20/2006. Type of genus Ariolimax Mørch, 1860. This species was described from material collected in Pacific Northwest by the United States Exploring Expedition in 1841.
