Canada Goose [Branta canadensis] |
| This family outing was photographed along a busy roadway near the picnic area on the campus of the University of North Florida in southeastern Duval County, Florida on 5/17/2005. It's uncertain which of the adults was "calling cadence." This commonly seen species apparently prefers the amenities and entertainment offered by a small retention pond immediately adjacent to six lanes of busy traffic as opposed to nearby Lake Oneida with its resident alligators. |
