Eastern Garter Snake [Thamnophis sirtalis sirtalis] Albino Juvenile

This albino juvenile Eastern Garter Snake (about six inches long) was photographed by this scribe outside my front door in Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida during the evening hours of August 24, 2006. The little fellow, which exhibits no fear of man, was initially seen on July 28, 2006 while crawling across the nearby carport, and again on August 7th.  However, the possibility does exist that more than one albino specimen is involved in the three sightings. Species identification by Jim Duby, Land Manager of the Seminole County Natural Lands Program.
