Mesodon thyroidus (Say, 1817) White-lip Globe Up A Tree

     Up a tree on poison ivy about five feet above ground, south side of Joe Johns Road in the flood plain of Little Black Creek, County Road 220 0.2 miles NW of Knight Boxx Road, Clay County, Florida, 8/24/2021. The species routinely climbs trees. During the site visit on 8/24/2021, a total of eighteen Mesodon were found with all being in trees as far as twelve feet above ground.
