Mesodon thyroidus (Say, 1817) White-lip Globe Up A Tree

     Up a tree about five feet above ground in the flood plain of Little Black Creek, County Road 220 0.2 miles NW of Knight Boxx Road, Clay County, Florida, 8/17/2021. The species routinely climbs trees. During the site visit on 8/17/2021, a total of seven Mesodon were found in trees (six adults and one juvenile). One additional live snail was found on the ground as well as 118 empty adult shells.
