Mesodon thyroidus (Say, 1817) White-lip Globe Up A Tree

     Up a small tree about three feet above ground immediately adjacent to the flood plain of Little Black Creek, County Road 220 0.2 miles NW of Knight Boxx Road, Clay County, Florida, 8/8/2021. The species routinely climbs trees. During the site visit on 8/8/2021, a total of 12 Mesodon were found in trees as much as twelve feet above the ground. One particular tree had 6  widely dispersed specimens present.
