| Under dead palmetto frond, just above the high water mark, between Browns Creek Fish Camp and the Heckscher Drive bridge, Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida 1/14/2008 (about 2 mm.). Interestingly, a colony of the Assiminea were sharing the habitat with Melampus bidentatus Say, 1822 [Eastern Melampus] and a terrestrial species - Gastrocopta pellucida (Pfeiffer, 1841) [Slim Snaggletooth]. |
