Albinistic Daedalochila auriculata From Old St. Augustine Road (6/19/2010)

    An abnormally pigment-deficient specimen, illustrated below, is shown with a normally colored specimen collected at the exact same locality. Daedalochila auriculata are occasionally found in northeast Florida with light colored shells. However, this is the first time that this reporter has observed a specimen with an albinistic animal.
