Reeve named this taxon [Achatina murrea] in volume V of Conchologia Iconica (species 22, Monograph of the genus Achatina; February). Although he didn't know the locality, he compared it to A. fasciata Müller (Idem., sp. 35), which he acknowledged as coming from Cuba. |
