Atrina seminuda (Lamarck, 1819) Half-naked Penshell (probable)

Being devoured by a Raccoon [Procyon lotor (Linnaeus, 1758)]

Looking for an easy seafood meal, the Raccoon pictured below inserted its paw into a beached penshell. The shell then closed trapping the Raccoon's paw. Through use of its remaining three feet, the Raccoon was able to extract its trapped foot as well as its dinner. The same scenario was repeated a second time with an additional shell.
