Alive on floating grass, Lake Oneida, University of North Florida Campus, Duval Co., Florida 4/5/2005

    Interestingly, both of the scalariform specimens collected thus far were not actually found in the water but either crawling upon the shoreline or upon floating vegetation. Additionally, the animals of both specimens exhibited green coloration quite unlike the animals of normally coiled specimens from the same body of water.
