Aplysia brasiliana Rang, 1828 Mottled Seahare |
| This large (estimated length 300 mm.) apparent Mottled Seahare was found washed onto the beach just south of Ponce Inlet, Volusia County, Florida on 3/22/2007. Its defensive ink, which in situ the species uses to blind attackers, is plainly visible on the sand. Following photography, the specimen was returned to the sea. |
