Euglandina rosea (Férussac, 1821) Feeding On Polygyra species

This large specimen was found in the roadside swale on the west side of US-1 about 3.1 miles northwest of International Golf Parkway, St. Johns County, Florida, on 11/23/2018 as it prepared to enjoy a meal of a Polygyra species. When initially found the Euglandina had just located, captured and was preparing to swallow the prey snail (top image). After the Euglandina was picked up the Polygyra was plainly visible (bottom image; designated by arrow).
