Euglandina rosea (Férussac, 1821) In Situ Feeding On Polygyra septemvolva

    The pictured large Euglandina rosea was found crawling in the roadside swale along US-1 about 3.2 miles northwest of International Golf Parkway in northern St. Johns County, Florida on 2/12/2020. Upon closer exaination it was discovered that the specimen had just caught a probable Polygyra septemvolva Say, 1818 [Florida Flatcoil] and was in the process of swallowing it.
