Allopeas gracile (Hutton, 1834) Graceful Awlsnail In Situ

Under small particle board in the roadside swale on the corner of Lawson and Cortez Roads, southeastern Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida 9/3/2012. Interestingly, this particular board was perused on a regular basis for over six months and the pictured specimens represent the first time that Allopeas  were found. The larger shell pictured on the bottom right is a Polygyra cereolus  (Mühlfeld, 1816) [Southern Flatcoil] - a species which is always present.
