Deroceras laeve (Müller, 1774) Feeding On Deceased Earthworm

    These two specimens, both measuring about 30 mm. in length, were discovered feeding on a deceased earthworm on a concrete driveway in southeastern Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida on 12/31/2009. Other local terrestrial species that have been observed feeding on deceased earthworms include Bradybaena similaris (Férussac, 1821) Asian Tramp Snail and Allopeas gracile (Hutton, 1834) Graceful Awlsnail.
