This 67.5 mm. specimen was found in the roadside swale on the west side of US-1 about 3.2 miles northwest of International Golf Parkway, St. Johns County, Florida on 4/18/2020 while in the process of swallowing a Polygyra septemvolva (See: Euglandina rosea (Férussac, 1821) In Situ Feeding On Polygyra septemvolva. Because of the snails obvious difficulty in retracting into its shell when handled, the Euglandina was retained and subsequently dissected. The dissection revealed eleven intact Polygyra in the gut of the Euglandina as well as the remains of at least three other partially digested shells which are also suspected to be Polygyra.
