Cloudless Sulphur [Phoebis sennae]

This specimen was photographed along the shoreline of a small lake in St. Marys, Camden County, Georgia on 10/29/2006. The species is abundant in northeast Florida but is quite wary and is extremely difficult to approach for photography. According to published literature (J. C. Daniels, 2003) "Fall individuals undergo a massive, southern migration into Florida to overwinter."
