Euglandina rosea (Férussac, 1821) Feeding On Daedalochila avara (Say, 1818)

On 10/23/2010 this 19 mm. juvenile specimen was discovered fully exposed in the roadside swale in far western St. Johns County, Florida feeding on a Daedalochila avara (Say, 1818) [Florida Liptooth]. While Euglandina rosea is commonly found in northeast Florida and readily feeds when taken into captivity, it is unusual to find a specimen in the wild actively engaged in feeding.
