Bulimulus sporadicus (d’Orbigny, 1835) Eggs

The fifteen Bulimulus sporadicus, pictured above inset, were collected under vegetation along Faye Road near the CSX Transportation railroad tracks in Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida on 1/24/2015. The snails were then placed in a makeshift terrarium. When checked the next morning, one or more of the Bulimulus had deposited the above pictured eggs.  The presence of the eggs was not surprising in that two of the snails when collected were found in the typical egg laying position (see: Bulimulus sporadicus (d’Orbigny, 1835) In Situ Depositing Eggs and Bulimulus sporadicus (d’Orbigny, 1835) Depositing Eggs).
