Mesodon thyroidus (Say, 1817) White-lip Globe Up A Tree

     Up a tree about five feet above ground on the east side of Joe Johns Road near the flood plain of Little Black Creek, County Road 220 0.2 miles NW of Knight Boxx Road, Clay County, Florida, 8/19/2021. The species routinely climbs trees. During the site visit on 8/19/2021, a total of eleven Mesodon were found in trees. Sixty one adult empty shells were also seen.
