Busycotypus spiratus (Lamarck, 1816) Living Specimen |
| This species is uncommon in northeast Florida and is very rarely found on the open Atlantic beaches. Instead it prefers more sheltered waters such as inlets/sounds. The illustrated specimen is only the second specimen found on the beach by the photographer in 14 years of active shelling. |
